What is Multi Major?
A collective term for Double Majors, Minor, Combined Major, and Interdisciplinary Major.

Applicant Qualifications
Available to students who have registered for at least two regular semesters, and who have earned more than 33 credits.
Application Procedures
Apply directly from Seoul National University portal mySNU or mobile app: Academic Affairs > Change Student Status/Multi Major > Application > Major/Course Application
Selection Criteria
Applicants for multi major are divided into those who have taken majors or liberal arts of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature and those who have not, and the former shall be given priority.
1. Applicants who have taken majors or liberal arts of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature shall be prioritized as follows.
① The grades of the major courses (including pre-major courses) of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature shall be summed up.
② If a student took a major course (up to one course) as S/U and received an S, the student’s GPA will be added together.
③ Add up the grades of liberal arts courses taken of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature x 0.5.
④ Total ①, ②, and ③ together to determine the ranking, but if there is a tie, the student with the highest number of semesters enrolled will be given priority.
2. Those who have not taken majors or liberal arts of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature shall be ranked according to their GPA.
※ Note: “Liberal Arts of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature” refers to the following subjects.
Understanding 21st-Century Korean Fiction, Understanding Drama, Understanding Media Literacy, Understanding Creative Writing, Journeying in Korean Literature, Korean Vocabulary Training, Korean Usage of Chinese Characters, Korean Mythology, Language and Culture of the Korean, Reading Modern Korean Poetry, Theory and Practice of Hangul Orthography, The Depth and Imagination of Korean Literature, Korean Literature and World Literature, Arts and Culture in Korean Literature
※ Example: Student A took one major course of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature and earned an A-. Student B took two liberal arts courses of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature and earned an A+ and a B+. Student C earned an S in one major course of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature (current GPA is 3.5). Student D hasn’t taken any courses of the Dept. of Korean Language & Literature and current GPA is 4.1.
* Students A, B, and C have priority over Student D.
* Student A’s score: 3.7 (A-×1), Student B’s score: 3.85 (A+×0.5+B+×0.5), Student C’s score: 3.5 (S=3.5)
* Select students in the following order: B, A, C, and D
